FGCU Collegiate Academy Overview

This rigorous academy requires a completed application submitted to Bonita Springs High School. Through this partnership established with Florida Gulf Coast University, students will earn 48-60 hours of university credit. Coursework may be taught by FGCU faculty or qualified Bonita Springs High School teachers, and may be offered at Bonita Springs High School or on the FGCU campus during the spring, fall and summer semesters.

Students enrolled in the FGCU Collegiate Academy will have access to all the services offered to students at the university, including library services, tutoring and writing consultation.

Upon successful completion of the program, students who continue with FGCU will earn an Associate’s Degree after one completed semester. Students who transfer to another in-state university will receive certification from FGCU that all general education requirements for a Bachelor’s Degree have been met.
