Creative Careers Academy

The newest addition to the academies features courses in digital design, multimedia, and television production. Students utilize state-of-the art technological tools, such as: a large format Latex printer, 3D printers, WACOM drawing tablets with dual monitors, 64-inch Dell  touch-screen displays, digital cameras, and produce broadcasts in a new television studio. Through project-based-learning - and with full access to Adobe apps and training - they will also earn certifications and gain skills in photography, videography, editing, animation as well as web and graphic design. The program will continue to grow along with industry innovations.

Aerospace

The Aerospace Academy is a dual enrollment partnership with Embry-Riddle Gaetz Aerospace Institute. This academy will provide students four years of Aerospace Technology curriculum and up to 14 college credits. Students will experience hands-on activities ranging from building flying machines to flying drones and flight simulators. Students will have the opportunity to attain certifications in both Unarmed Aircraft Systems and credit towards Flight Instructor Certification.

Medical 

Students will earn CNA, EKG, and potentially LPN licenses. They will have the opportunity to gain a real-world perspective by visiting local medical facilities and experience hands-on simulation of medical situations.

Air Conditioning (HVAC) 

This academy prepares students for employment or advanced training in the heating, air conditioning and refrigeration industry.  Students will work in a dedicated hands-on learning lab where they receive experience utilizing various types of residential HVAC equipment (air handlers, package units, compressors, etc.)  Students will earn industry certifications in HVAC. 


Interact


Interact is a service club that is a sponsored by the Rotary of Bonita Springs. Interact has a membership of over 250,000 youth in more than 11,000 clubs worldwide. Members choose school-based as well as community-based projects which provide opportunities to develop leadership skills and meet new friends.


JROTC 

The Mission of the Army JROTC:

“To motivate young people to be better citizens”.  The JROTC Program combines classroom instruction and extracurricular activities oriented on attaining an awareness of the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of citizenship; developing the cadet’s sense of personal responsibility; promoting wellness and physical fitness; building life skills; and providing leadership opportunities.

Is taught in accordance with the U.S. Army ROTC Cadet Command Program of Instruction (POI).  Course content includes: Character and Leadership Development; Wellness, Fitness and First Aid; Drug Abuse Prevention; Geography and Earth Science; Citizenship and American History; Career Opportunities; Role of the Armed Forces; Technology Awareness; Command and Staff Procedures; Financial Education and Budgeting; Service Learning; and Senior Army Instructor Designated Optional Subjects, as coordinated with Bonita Springs High School, Lee County School District and the U.S. Army Cadet Command.
